The upgradation process is very simple. The following are the steps to upgrade ubuntu precise pangolin to Quantal Quetzal:
#1: Open Ubuntu software updater and click on settings.
#2: You will find an option called “Notify Me A New Ubuntu Version” in the drop down menu next to that option, select “For Any New Version” and close.
#3: Now in the software updater, you will find an option to upgrade to Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal. Click on “Upgrade”.
